Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Greater Sudbury, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Hands on field experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of two-way radio systems, repeater systems, trunking systems, etc.
- Some experience providing technical support and service of wireless communication systems such as UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz analog and digital systems
- Some experience repairing and programming radios and wireless equipment as well as performing software and firmware updates to devices
Education:
- Post-secondary education in Electronics/Electrical Instrumentation/Mechanical or
- Grade 12 education with relevant experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Installing, repairing, and configuring telecommunications equipment
- Organize and prioritize work.
- Analyze and resolve problems.
- Keeping your company-supplied vehicle properly stocked with inventory, cleaned regularly, and keeping track of basic maintenance.
- Take daily inventory of the equipment needed for the job.
- Work collaboratively with management and colleagues.
- Perform other field and shop work as required.
- Provide assistance to telecom service department where required for installations, servicing and repairs of two-way radio products and accessories.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to learn quickly in on-the-job training.
- Proficient with computers.
- Familiarity with Internet operation and basic IP addressing. Computer networking skills are a definite asset.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work with small power tools, mechanically inclined.
- Comfortable with installing equipment on customers’ locations
- Ability to work in different weather conditions.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Flexibility to work different schedules overtime and on call, if necessary.
- Excellent English Communication skills, spoken and written. French is an asset.
- Awareness of occupational health and safety and quality of work.
- Criminal Background Checks and Valid G driver’s license with Drivers Abstract are required before accepting employment.
