Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00am to 4:30pm

Location:

  • 505 Frood rd., Sudbury, Ontario,
  • On site,
  • Travel to other locations on occasion is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Manager in the Human Resources field,
  • Experience in human resources policy and program development,
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in talent acquisition and recruiting,
  • Working knowledge of compensation and benefits,
  • Experience with retention, employee engagement and motivation,
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid critical thinking and business acumen,
  • Experience with payroll administration,
  • Understanding of Federal and Provincial legislation pertaining to employment related matters, employment contracts and compliance requirements,
  • Ability to effectively communicate with different levels across the organization,
  • Administrative/Office experience,
  • General accounting knowledge.

Education:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field,
  • CHRP/CHRL Designation an asset.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of all job postings, position advertisements, recruitment packages, interview formats, questions, and assessment methods to promote a diversified and inclusive workforce.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process for internal and external positions.
  • Design and deliver effective training programs and ensure employees participate in mandatory training.
  • Complete all applications for funding and residency programs (NOHFC, FedNor, OINP, RNIP) for employees.
  • Administer benefits and pensions for all employees.
  • Establish and maintain the salary/wage scale for employees based on statistics and job performance.
  • Coordinate job evaluations in collaboration with the CEO and COO.
  • Support human resource programs such as training, innovation, and employee recognition to ensure internal equity.
  • Analyze opportunities for learning modules procurement within a budget.
  • Review and update Human Resources and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures to comply with legislation.
  • Recommend new policies and procedures with an inclusive and equity-based approach.
  • Assist the CEO and COO with strategic planning.
  • Provide guidance to staff and supervisors on HR principles, policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Oversee the Human Resource Information System, generate reports, and analyze HR trends.
  • Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries.
  • Manage payroll entry and verification in Ceridian.
  • Other duties as assigned.
