Location:
- Sudbury, ON: current resident or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Basic knowledge or understanding of:
- A. Systems
- CCTV
- Security Systems
- Nurse Call Systems or
- Door Access Systems
- Mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge and ability to work with power tools
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Vocational diploma, college certificate or diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation or related field
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install and repair Nurse call systems, CCTV systems, Public Address systems, Alarm systems
- Knowledge of interpreting schematics
- Organize and prioritize work
- Analyze and resolve problems
- Be responsible for equipment and vehicle
- Take daily inventory of the equipment needed for the job
- Work collaboratively with management and colleagues
- Install and repair telecommunications equipment and products
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Some IT networking or electrical experience an asset
- Have steel toe safety boots and hard hat
- Have own basic tools (screwdriver, wire cutters, drills, etc.)
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable driver abstract
- Ability to work with small power tools, mechanically inclined
- Ability to work in different weather conditions
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Flexibility to work different schedules overtime and on-call
- Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written
- Awareness of occupational health and safety and quality of work
- Must pass the security police check
- Bondable
- Some out-of-town/overnight travel
