Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour, based off of experience.

Location:
- Greater Sudbury, ON: current resident or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience troubleshooting and installing one of the following;
- Hands on field experience 5 year (preferred).
- 5 to 7 years of Service Manager experience in an industrial or automotive setting.
- Knowledge of 2-way radio systems, repeater systems, trunking systems, etc.
- 5 years experience providing technical support and service of wireless communication systems such as UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz analog and digital systems
- 5 years experience repairing and programming radios and wireless equipment as well as performing software and firmware updates to devices
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Vocational diploma, college certificate or diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechanical or related field
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install and repair telecommunications equipment and products,
- Organize and prioritize work for Installers and Technicians,
- Analyze and resolve problems,
- Be responsible for equipment and vehicles,
- Take daily inventory of the equipment needed for the job,
- Work collaboratively with management and colleagues,
- Knowledge of interpreting schematics
- Organize and prioritize work
- Be responsible for equipment and vehicle
- Directly reporting to and assisting the Manager of Corporate Sales and Branch Operations for Radio Division with corporate contracts and initiatives,
- Provide leadership and mentor the technicians in your department,
- Provide training and support for your team,
- Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction,
- Scheduling your team and the on-call rotation as you deem fit to meet the needs of the business and the sales department,
- Regularly reviewing open orders with the assistance of the sales and office staff. At a minimum on a monthly basis,
- Approval of absence requests and vacation planning,
- First Level Human Resource management (employee conflicts, hiring and disciplinary policy),
- Oversee departmental performance,
- Ensure service department is profitable and achieves financial targets as communicated from the senior management team from time to time,
- Maintain certifications required for Harris and other,
- Assist with warranty and RMA returns for products,
- Ensure your team has the appropriate tools, software and knowledge to complete the services asked of them,
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Some IT networking & electrical experience an asset,
- Have steel toe safety boots and hard hat,
- Have own basic tools (screwdriver, wire cutters, drills, etc.),
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable driver abstract,
- Ability to work with small power tools, mechanically inclined,
- Ability to work in different weather conditions,
- Ability to work at heights,
- Ability to distinguish colors,
- Flexibility to work different schedules overtime and on-call,
- Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written,
- Awareness of occupational health and safety and quality of work,
- Must pass the security police check,
- Bondable,
- Some out-of-town/overnight travel.
