COVID-19 UPDATE FROM SPECTRUM TELECOM

Although, for the time being, our region is mildly affected, we want to inform you that we are in constant conversations to make sure that we are taking any and all precautionary measures to avoid risk to the health and safety of our staff and our customers.

There is currently much uncertainty surrounding the local and global impact of the virus, we remain flexible and committed to maintaining business as usual.We have increased sanitation at all offices by enhancing cleaning procedures by wiping down all high contact surface areas each morning. Our staff have been advised to practice safe practices such as regularly washing their hands and keeping their work areas clean and tidy.

We have also restricted all flights for our staff and we are making our customers aware of this decision as per the following:Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, effective immediately Spectrum Telecom Management has cancelled all flights for all employees, regardless of the destination, no exceptions.As the health and safety of our employees is of greatest concern for all of us, we will not take the risk in having our people stranded or remotely quarantined and we trust our customers understand this decision. We have multiple technician vehicles at each of our locations fully equipped to service the customer at their location or tower site. Finally, since we are local to NE and NW Ontario, any further travel restrictions should not impact us.

We do not have any production activities in any of the affected areas/countries as a identified by the WHO, however, some of the products we sell may have production activities in these areas. We ask you to inquire with your account manager if you have any specific concerns about the manufacturing process and supply chains of our products upon order.

We are making sure that our inventory levels are increased to mitigate the risk of not delivering contractual obligations of goods should there be an interruption to our supply chain.

Employees have been advised to not attend work if they are showing any symptoms of a cold or flu. Employees who have travelled will be required to stay home in self isolation.

Supervisors and Managers are screening employees for symptoms at the start of our work days.

We will contact all of our customers in advance of visiting or walking into their locations.

Our staff have been informed that if they are concerned or unsure in any way of a job or task that they need to perform then to please consult with management before proceeding.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide ongoing updates as deemed necessary. In response to the recommendation of the Ontario Chief Medical officer as it applies to employers. https://news.ontario.ca/mohltc/en/2020/3/enhanced-measures-to-protect-ontarians-from-covid-19.html and in order to reduce the chances and lower our risk of exposure in Sudbury, some of our Netspectrum staff will be working from home. Their duties are well suited to working from home and we have already done this during holidays. It simply lowers the number of people in our office with a low impact to our business. We are making additional plans should the need for additional staff to work from home present itself.
